I don’t know if this tale of Google’s behind the scenes plotting regarding the purchase of Youtube is genuine or not, but it’s an interesting read all the same.

This story about Steve Wozniak getting a visit from Secret Service for passing out $2 bills that are torn off a perforated sheet is fantastic. God I love Woz. I can’t believe he passed the secret service agent a fake ID.

I gotta say, I’ve never considered bar codes unattractive. Actually, I never considered them at all, but somebody has, and they’ve figured out you can design them to look interesting. I’m still not very concerned about standard bar codes, but design bar codes are pretty cool.

Lightweight data exploration in Excel offers a few interesting ideas for visualizing data in Excel. I can’t imagine a situation where I’d use it. As long as it’s already in Excel, I imagine I’d just bust out a real chart, but it’s an interesting idea all the same.
