  • Time Lapse Road Movies

Well, now there is a coincidence. I was just mentioning to somebody that I’d like to eventually go see Ireland, and what do I happen upon but a bunch of Time Lapse Road Movies that allow you to take a road tour of Ireland as well as Spain and Australia and a whole bunch of…

  • Hmmm….

I’m not sure what’s going on with Indigen. Well, I know there’s some pretty graphic cartoon style violence, and some interestingly rendered 3D work (picture Wallace and Gromit meets Itchy and Scratchy, but in Africa), but outside of that, I don’t have any idea. It’s a major download, so only try it if you’ve got…

  • Cool Animation Technique

The Video for Bright Eyes song “Bowl of Oranges” is pretty interesting. It’s a little like claymation except they appear to be using yarn and cut out pieces of paper. Pretty cool, go check it out (site requires free registration).

  • If it hadn’t been for those damn kids

Holy crap – it’s like every scooby doo or wyle coyote trap ever invented. Very cool. More info here. Thanks for the point Andre

  • Party with a Purpose

Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing fame pointed to the Six Space gallery which is showing Nathan Cabrera’s “Throwing Rocks at Girls” through April. While on the gallery’s site, I noticed that they have a benefit planned that looks like it might be worth checking out. I’m not nearly involved enough in the local LA gallery…

  • Nice Art Site

Nina Beier’s site features some good work, some uneven work, and some truly great work. I particularly liked some of the work in Unseen in category 2. Some parts not entirely work safe.

  • Classic Album Covers

These are great. With some of these, I want to hear the albums so bad, but I’ll just have to content myself with savoring the coolness/weirdness/whateverness in mute awe.

  • Experimental Movie

The first 66 seconds of I had a weird dream… are FAN…TAS…TIC. After that it falls apart and never quite lives up the the promise. It’s actually kind of disappointing in a way. Still, thanks for the point Amberglow.

  • Science of Flirting

The science of flirting: “It’s not entirely surprising, given the levels of ambiguity and deception to which they are subjected, that males tend to become confused.” So then not my fault. Excellent. Now, how can I turn this knowledge to my own nefarious purposes?

  • The Need to Believe

I think I may want to take the time to read The Need to Believe a little later. It’s the story of a child coming to terms with a parents artwork; trying to come to terms with its value and place in the world after the father’s death. I’d read it now, but my attention…
