  • Nice Job

Topleftpixel looks like another must bookmark photoblog. I need to get much better at shooting, and I need to find more sites like this one. If you know of any, please drop me a comment.

  • Time Studies

Their Circular Live offers an interesting UI for a series of time-lapse photographs. Definitely worth a look.

  • Wow!

Katie Cooke’s Home Grown Portraits over on 28 mm features some amazingly beautiful images. I know flowers tend to be easy photos to take, but this goes so far beyond that. Wow! First rate. Update: I guess they’re scanned flowers, not photographed flowers. Interesting technique.

  • Like Sand Through the Hourglass

I keep this web site for myself mostly. I come across interesting sites, or I have a thought or story I know I’ll want to remember, so I post it here. Most times I don’t go back, but as I build an archive, more and more I find myself hitting Google and typing in a…

  • Great Photos

Oh my god! Matt Stuart’s photographs are awesome. Why don’t I ever get shots that good? Well, OK, I don’t stage my photographs very often, and at least some of Matt’s clearly are. Also, I’m not very good. See, it’s that last part that really breaks my spirit. I need to try harder.

Again the resulting picture was photographed with the Polaroid-camera. The distances in space and time…

  • I Gotta Get Me Some Dolls

The Doll Photo that Steven Frank found is spectacular. It’s almost enough to make me want to start collecting dolls — or more likely to start visiting his Disturbing Auctions Daily site on a regular basis.

  • When Aliens Attack

Oh Yeah… They claim this is “An astronomically-enchanted 5th grader gazing at the completed Galactic Mobile.”, but that’s not what it looks like to me. Thank you Google Random Image Generator. So much fun. I could kill hours refreshing this page.

  • 26 Things

The list of 26 Things to Photograph that I mentioned over here has been posted. Go print out the list and get busy snapping photos. You only have a month to complete the assignment you know.

  • Photo Scavenger Hunt

What a cool idea. On July 1st, sh1ft.org is going to post a list of 26 themes/objects to this page. Participants have a month to photograph each of the posted items. You can then upload your photos to their site. I may have to do this.
