Lots of great photos over on 28mm.org. It seems I always stumble across these wonderful photo sites, and I spend like an hour clicking through their offerings. Then, for some reason I keep forgetting to go back on check on them as new content is added.

I need some way to remind myself to go back to these great sites. I keep hitting the text sites each day. I’m not sure why the photography sites are different for me. Generally, the content on the photo sites is better.

Hmm… Something to ponder as I wait for my power to come back on. It just went out so while I’m writing this on battery power on the PowerBook, I won’t be able to post. Of course if you’re reading this, then the power came back at some point so it’s not like you’d care (as if you would anyway). Still, I have no TV. I have no internet. I can’t really read unless I want to get a flashlight. Which I don’t even have – california earthquake preparedness — Ha! I laugh in your general direction. You are funny looking and your mother buys cheap cheese.

Man how did Abe Lincoln and that tiny girl from little house on the prairie manage it. No power totally sucks. I should put my router and cable modem on a battery backup. I mean I have my Tivo on battery back-up. Its alarm keeps going off – endlessly mocking me and my lack of power. Strangely I’m not running my TV or amp off it though. I think the TV would probably drain the battery in like 5 minutes. Mostly it’s just there to condition the power. It sure would be nice to be able to watch TV or surf the net, or do both right about now though.

I’m going to put the PowerBook to sleep now. It only has a 45% charge, and I may need it later.

………..

Man power’s been out now for like 8 minutes now. That’s just about how long I waited at my table tonight at the restaurant before getting up and walking out. Some annoying kid was balling its eyes out while the frustrated mother tried to spank it into silence — yeah, that will probably work mom — good call.

And I’m sitting there without so much as a hi I’ll be right with you. Not to mention not having a drink or anything. Just that stupid kid wailing away much like that stupid UPS beep, beep, beeping away.

Beep Beep ……Beep Beep ….. Just Leave ….. Just Leave …..

So, I left. I mean I can get an overpriced turkey sandwich anywhere. I only go to that restaurant for the service. The foods good I suppose, but it’s mostly about the service. If you ain’t got that though, then you ain’t got my $15 bucks. That’s what I say.

Beep Beep …..Beep Beep ….. Beep Beep

A few more minutes of this, and I may have to kill….

–again–

At the restaurant I finally ended up eating at, some girl at another table was kind of giving me the you’re cute eyes, so that’s always nice. Clearly she was drinking … or bored. Probably bored – though I don’t know what she had to be bored about. She had power. Boy, those were the days. You remember back when we had power. Oh, the world was our oyster then man. You could just open up the PowerBook, and bam you’re on the internet sucking in information like you had a giant straw straight into the heart of the universe. Or, you could turn on TV and bam you’re watching some goon on a cooking show while the audience hoots and hollers for absolutely no reason that I could ever understand.

Do you know that I can’t spell the word restaurant to save my life. Every single time I spell it wrong. I have like a mental block or something. And in this entry alone, I tried to spell the possessive form of its with an apostrophe twice. I do know that one. Usually I don’t make that mistake. I do however …

Oh, powers back. please stay up, please stay up, please stay up.
