I bought Donnie Darko on spec tonight. That is to say, I’d never seen it before, but I’d heard some really good things about it. What a great movie. A little bit like American Beauty crossed with Heathers on acid. I have to say, I don’t think I understand it all yet. It’s a very strange movie. I’m really going to have to watch it a few more times, but wow, I just can’t say enough good things about it. It must be the bunnies. These days it seems all quality entertainment comes back to bunnies. And what’s with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway? Bunnies, it must be bunnies!

You are so cool… first of all because donnie darko is currently climbing my top five charts as best movie and trippiest movi. Also and more importanlty because you are like the 3 person who on a non btvs site to quote once more with feeling. thank god for that. umm also i had a killer idea. and also a question… if you know anyone who can record wavs. from donnie i am dieing to get clips of frank saying wake up or you should already know or really anything. i couldn’t think of a happyier sound clip to hear when i get online or get mail. ok well bye… i love your site.

Well Donnie Darko is one of the greatest movies of all time in my opinion after watching it 10 times I feel I can make that statement without hesitation. Either way I think that if you are confused at all I can say the directors commentary cleared the movie up for me when I watched it again.

If you really want to fully understand the movie…on the DVD, watch the movie with the director and “Donnie Darko’s” commentary playing in the backround, and it explains every little thing about the movie. I have also stumbled here lookin for sound clips–are there any? anyway DD has been one of my favourite movie experiances yet–next to the likes of adaptation.Its not about change,growing up,getting over problems blah blah.It just happens.They’re faced with a shit life-“born into tragedy”–and the movie depicts why.It has great philosophys and Jake gyllenhaal was so believable.anyway–wheres those dang samples????…
