Meetup seems like an interesting and valuable service. The idea is that it is a meeting place for people that want to get together off-line. They have a directory of interests and activities. It’s brand-spanking-new, so it doesn’t look like they have an active membership yet, but if you want to meet people it may be worth checking out. I don’t know that I do want to meet people, but since it is my mother’s birthday, I figured I’d give her a glimmer of hope that I might one day develop a social life. Link via camworld.
