Ganguro Girl is depressingly like real life. I don’t know the rules, I couldn’t manage to pull, and when you ask her questions, it turns out you need to remember the answers for later in the game. Sorry honey, I have no idea what your birthday is. Maybe you could tell me again instead of pouting.
Truthfully, I have to believe that it’s nothing at all like real life. It’s too depressing a world view to take at face value. I hated the girl I was talking to. All of the presents you have to buy to ingratiate yourself to her seem too coldly mercenary. But she seemed to be the only choice. Maybe if I’d emphasized knowledge over charm and strength (attributes I assumed would be important for this game), I would have had a more interesting choice of dates. Plus, what’s with having to play pong in the middle of the game?
