Great Will Wright Presentation

This transcript of a presentation in which Will Wright of Maxis/Electronic Arts (the mind behind the Sims and other games of that sort) discusses game design theory is a MUST READ!!

It is truly fascinating. Every time I see Wright interviewed or read something like this, I desperately want to give the Sims another try. I know there are people who love Sim City and the Sims and all of those types of games. I just hate them though. Too much character maintenance and not enough fun for my tastes. Still, you read something like this, and he is so obviously smart and so obviously a master of what he does, I just want to be able to like it more.

    to whom it may concern my name is james i have gotten bored of the sims and the newer sim city versions so i went back to the good old fashion old version made in 91 for the super nintendo now its been a personal goal for almost a decade to get a megaopolis a goal my brother past down to me when he left for college i need some hints on how to get the megapolis i know its half a million to win and ive been to many different wed sites and all of them have different ideas on how to set up the zones i figured u have beaten it your will wright so i email u for a couple things one i do use the money cheat where u get 999,999 yea i know its not like winning but im use to it so im wondering does that effect the game so u dont get a megapolis is u use the cheat and i dont want anymore cheats its bad enough i use that one i just want hints like where to set up buildings so everyone is happy and no housing cost of pollution fits i just need to know how u would try and set up your city again this is Sim City for the super nintendo made in 91 it would mean alot if u could help me
