There’s something deliciously unsettling about the art over at the Maboroshi Cafe. Thanks for the point everlasting blort. Oh, and as long as I’m lifting creepy links from Blort today, is Meat Shake real or parody? I seriously can’t tell. This must mean I’ve been on the internet too long (or not long enough).

Linda Zacks’ art is really interesting in a chaotic, energized way. My new goal for August is to be more chaotic and energized (probably because the last week in July has seen me really tired for some reason).

The front page of Fold It makes it seem like the various people who are creating these drawings don’t know what the other person(s) did. They line up too well for that though, so there must be some unfolding going on before the final thing is complete. The results are interesting, but that probably has…

It is very, very almost disturbingly sweet though. Maybe I’m just woozy from the heat in…

Wow – these guys take cube decorations seriously. By the way, if anybody has any wacky cube decorations stories you could hook me up with over the next couple of days, let me know. I’m trying to get a fun newsletter article written, but it’s seriously lacking the “Fun”.

This transcript of a presentation in which Will Wright of Maxis/Electronic Arts (the mind behind the Sims and other games of that sort) discusses game design theory is a MUST READ!! It is truly fascinating. Every time I see Wright interviewed or read something like this, I desperately want to give the Sims another try.…
